Thein Pyu Stadium
Thein Pyu Stadium (Burmese: သိမ်ဖြူအားကစားကွင်း) is a Lethwei stadium located in Yangon, Myanmar.[2] The stadium counts over 5,200-seats is and his the most notorious Lethwei stadium in all of Myanmar.[1] It's the venue choice for most national and international level Lethwei events.[3][4] The Stadium is run by the Myanmar Traditional Lethwei Federation.

Overview
Since the 1990s, the Myanmar Traditional Lethwei Federation, under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Health and Sports of Myanmar, has been a holding an office at the stadium.[5]
Lethwei
Since 1996, the stadium has been hosting the Golden Belt Championship tournament.[6]
On December 18, 2018, the stadium was the chosen venue for the third match of the notorious trilogy fights between Dave Leduc and Tun Tun Min,[1] which was featured on La Fosse aux Tigres.[7][8]
On January 31, 2020, the stadium was host of the World Lethwei Championship for the first time with WLC 11: Battlebones.[9]
Training
Across from the stadium, is the Phoenix Letwhei Gym,[10] a local gym used to train and prepare fighters before they compete.[11]
2020
In March 2020, all Lethwei events were cancelled in Myanmar due to the COVID-19 pandemic.[12] The Ministry of Health and Sports of Myanmar decided to prepare quarantine centers across the country. The Thein Phyu Stadium was transformed into a makeshift quarantine center for Myanmar nationals returning from foreign countries.[13]
