The Three Doors

The Three Doors is a fantasy trilogy written by Emily Rodda. The story takes place on an island called Dorne, which happens to be located in the same ocean as the land of Deltora, which was the prominent setting in Rodda's Deltora Quest series. The story focuses on a sixteen-year-old boy named Rye and a sixteen-year-old girl named Sonia. They live in a walled city known as Weld.[1] A compiled set was published in 2013.[2]

The Silver Door (2012):[7] "The Silver Door is as action-packed as the first novel in the trilogy, whilst allowing the characters to grow and develop as they change in response to the challenges of the journey."[8][9]

The Third Door (2012):[10] "This is no pedestrian fantasy... However, readers unfamiliar with the previous two volumes in this trilogy will be hopelessly lost in the story’s intricacy; they would be well-advised to start at the trilogy’s beginning, with The Golden Door (2012)."[11] and "Fans of Rodda's Deltora Quest series will be thrilled by the tie-ins here. New fans can enjoy this installment without any prior knowledge of the land of Deltora; though they'll have a richer experiance [sic] if they've read the first two volumes."[12][13]
