After her husband died, Margaret Taylor continued to publish the paper until 1992, when she retired.[8] She became the first female President of the Oklahoma Press Association.[9] Margaret Taylor was later inducted into the Oklahoma Journalism Hall of Fame.[8]

As of 2018, the Davis News had a circulation of 1,500.[10] It is published on Wednesday under editor Alisha Thompson.[10] It is owned by Thompson Times, LLC and is headquartered at 440 E. Main, Davis, Oklahoma. Some historical editions dating back to the beginning of the 20th century can be found at the Oklahoma Historical Society's Gateway to Oklahoma History.
