Swiss Management Center

SMC University (previously Swiss Management Center) is a private business school founded in 1985. In 2002 SMC University became a degree granting institution of higher education and since then operates as a private university. SMC University has its operative headquarters in Zug, Switzerland[1] and offices in Vienna and Buenos Aires.

Accreditation

The SMC University (previously Swiss Management Center) in Zug is neither accredited by the Swiss OAQ,[2] nor is it a Swiss university.[3]

International

SMC University's associate, master's and doctorate programs were accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) from 2007 to March 31, 2018.[4][5] SMC University's business programs are listed as accredited for that period in CHEA's Database of Programs Accredited by Recognized U.S. Accrediting Organizations.[6] The programs currently hold neither programmatic accreditation, nor institutional accreditation.

The NAB stated that those who have already graduated from SMC University programmes possess valid credentials.

Faculty and students

SMC University has an international focus and has educated students from more than 130 countries.[7] The top countries by number of SMC University alumni include Ghana, Nigeria, Indonesia, the United States, Switzerland, Guatemala, Spain, Austria, Algeria and Mexico.[8]

SMC University has a faculty from around the world including from countries such as the United States, Nigeria, Argentina, Greece, Austria, the United Kingdom, Canada, India, Italy and Chile.[9]
