Susan L. Mizruchi

Susan Laura Mizruchi (July 13, 1959) is an American academic.

Mizruchi's father Ephraim was a sociologist.[1] Her mother Ruth was of Israeli Jewish descent.[2] She has two brothers, David and Mark.[3] Susan Mizruchi attended Washington University graduating with bachelor of arts degrees in English and history in 1981. She completed a doctorate in English at Princeton University in 1985, and began teaching at Boston University in 1986.[4][5] In 1996, Mizruchi declined a Fulbright visiting professorship to Tel Aviv University.[6] She was awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship in 2001.[7] She accepted funding from the Fulbright Program in 2015,[6] and was appointed William Arrowsmith Professor in the Humanities at Boston University in 2017.[4][5]
