Suleyman Magomedov

Suleyman Magomedov (Russian: Сулейман Магомедов, tr. Сулейман Магомедов; born April 10, 1990) is a Russian kickboxer who competes in the cruiserweight division.

Career

In March 2013 Magomedov won two world titles in just 12 days. The first, in Monte Carlo, he became W.A.K.O. Pro world champion, and sustained a leg injury.[1] Then on March 22. he won R-1 world title defeating Dmitry Shakuta. The fight went all five 2 minute rounds being closely contested.[2][3]

Magomedov won a third title on July 13, 2013 in Moscow. Eight fighters from the Czech Republic, Poland, Russia, Belarus, Moldova, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan participated in a tournament for the W5 championship. Magomedov defeated Ahmed Аlimbekov in the quarter finals, Petr Romankevich in the semis and won the title defeating Stanislav Zanevskiy by unanimous decision. The final was an uncompromising fight where he also scoring a third round knockdown.[4][5]
