St. Michael's School, Durgapur

St.Michael's School, Durgapur (established in 1966) is a private Christian missionary English medium co-educational school located in the steel city of Durgapur.[1] Located adjacent to the St Michael's and All Angels' Cathedral it is under the Church of North India and follows the Protestant denomination.

About School

It has about 3500 students studying. It is affiliated to the CISCE (Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations) board.[2] It is located in Bidhannagar, Durgapur locality of the city. Classes range from Pre-Nursery to Class XII. The school offers both science and commerce as streams in plus two. The school has a huge library with more than 3000 books, a basketball court and a huge ground half of which is lawn covered and fenced. There are all kinds of science laboratories, computer rooms, two auditoriums and a big football ground. It has a canteen, more of a tuck shop where students can buy snacks during recess.[3] In the year 2018, the school has inaugurated a multipurpose hall beside the school which serves as an auditorium and has further provisions for sports complexes.
