The landfill stopped receiving waste in 2011.[4] Taipei Mayor Hau Lung-pin, accompanied by guides from the Department of Environmental Protection of Taipei City Government, made a visit to the park on 17 April 2013 to see the construction progress.[5] The park was officially opened on 27 October 2013.[2]
