Sebastian Brather
Sebastian Brather (born 28 June 1964) is a German archaeologist. Brather received his PhD in archaeology from the Humboldt University of Berlin in 1995. Since 2006, Brather has been Professor of Prehistoric and Medieval Archaeology at the University of Freiburg. Brather has conducted much research on the archaeology of late antiquity. Brather considers ethnicity to be a social construct, and completely denies the existence of ethnic identifies in archaeology. His views on ethnicity have been described as the most extreme in the field.[1]
