Sandeep Singh Rissam

Sandeep Singh Rissam is a young columnist & social activist creating awareness in the field of blood donation, women empowerment, drug abuse & other issues of social importance in the state of J&K, India.[1][2][3][4] He did his schooling from Army School in Jammu and New Delhi. He then completed his graduation as an Electronics & Communication Engineer from Punjab. He was working in a Multi National Company when he returned to his home town Jammu to work on issues of social importance in Jammu and Kashmir.[5][6] He is also active in promoting sports culture among youth of J&K and is the Chairman of Anti-Dope Committee of Jammu and Kashmir Amateur Kabaddi Association.[7]

He is also associated with Indian National Congress party. He worked as a General Secretary of NSUI, the student wing of Indian National Congress party. He was also appointed as Spokesperson of J&K Youth Wing of Indian National Congress Party.[8][9][10][11][12][13][14][15][16] He has worked at national level as National Coordinator of Indian Youth Congress. He was also awarded by Youth Congress for his work during Punjab State elections .[17][18] He was elected as General Secretary of J&K Indian Youth Congress , Youth wing of Indian National Congress after winning the elections held across Jammu & Kashmir.[19][20][21][22] In 2019 he was again appointed as National Coordinator of Indian Youth Congress and was made the Incharge of New Delhi Youth Congress.[23][24][25][26][27][28][29][30] He has worked as Digital & Social Media Incharge of Haryana Youth Congress.[31][32] He was also appointed as IYC Organisation's Training Incharge for Punjab & Himachal Pradesh Youth Congress.[33][34][35][36]
