SOKO Wismar
SOKO Wismar is a German police procedural television series. It first aired on 6 October 2004. SOKO is an abbreviation of the term "Sonderkommission" (Special [Police] Commission - meaning special investigation team in German). SOKO Wismar is transmitted on the German public broadcasting channel ZDF on Wednesdays at 6:00pm. SOKO Wismar is the fifth spin-off from the series SOKO 5113.

Plot
Under the leadership of Erster Kiminalhauptkommissar Jan Reuter, Kriminalhauptkommissarin Kartin Börensen and Kriminaloberkommissar Lars Pöhlmann work together to crack cases in the North German Hanse town of Wismar. Working with them on the team are Polizeihauptmeister Kai Timmermann and Dutch Hoofdagent Anneke van de Meer.
Production
SOKO Wismar is produced by the Production Company CInecentrum Berlin, a subsidiary of Studio Hamburg. Filming takes place both in Wismar and its surroundings as well as in Berlin. The World Heritage Sites of Wismar's old town and its harbour often serve as filming locations. The entrance to the Police Station is actually the entrance to the Hospital of the Holy Ghost. The actual Police Station and the interior are in the Adlershof Studios in Berlin.
