Roohi Afzana

Roohi Afzana is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language comedy horror film about a ghost who abducts brides on their honeymoons.[1] Produced by Maddock Films and directed by Hardik Mehta, it stars Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao as leads alongside Varun Sharma, Alexx O'Nell and Pankaj Tripathi in supporting roles.[2] Roohi Afzana was announced in March 2019 and began principal photography on 14 June 2019 in Agra, before it was also shot in Mumbai.[3] Initially scheduled for theatrical release in the first half of 2020, it was postponed due to COVID-19 pandemic and will now release in March 2021.[4]

Roohi Afzana was initially slated for cinema opening on 20 March 2020, and later on 17 April 2020, before it was again pushed to 5 June 2020.[10] However the release was further delayed due to COVID-19 pandemic, and now there are reports that it might release now theatrically in March 2021.[11]

Soundtrack

Soundtrack is composed by Sachin-Jigar, Tanishk Bagchi and Badshah while the lyrics are written by Priya Saraiya, Jigar Saraiya, Badshah and Irshad Kamil; music rights are bagged by Zee Music Company and background score is given by Sandeep Shirodkar.[12]
