Robert Humphrey (author)

Robert Humphrey (born 1947) is an American author who has worked in several genres having published five books, selective poetry, and several articles. He retired from the business world in 2011 to the Texas panhandle where he founded the Conservatory of the Plains and the Arts Academy of the Plains Foundation.

Career

Humphrey's first novel was The Mendelian Threshold, a science fiction thriller which received critical reviews in Kirkus Reviews.[1]

Humphrey then switched to the juvenile literature genre to produce his next four titles: The Christmas Poodle (2002),[2] The Christmas Tree House (2003),[3] The Christmas Poodle Christmas Wish (2004),[4] and The Christmas Poodle - The Christmas Promise (2005).[5]

Personal

Humphrey was born in Perryton, Texas, in 1947, and graduated from high school in 1965. He pursued a degree in Music Education at West Texas State University and The University of Kansas, complementing his education in Business at Central State University (Oklahoma), and Methodist College (Fayetteville, NC) where he was a broadcaster with WQTI-FM radio.
