The school was instituted in 1975 by a small group of educators and parents who were interested in faith-based learning. Their location has moved around the Ottawa area, and they now reside on 82 Colonnade Rd. in Nepean, Ottawa. Since its origin in 1975, Redeemer has grown to approximately 165 students through grades nine to twelve.[3] Redeemer Christian High School is a member of the Ontario Alliance of Christian Schools.[4]
