Red Sea International Film Festival
The Red Sea International Film Festival is an annual film festival launched in 2019 and will be held in Jeddah, western Saudi Arabia, starting from 2020.[1][2] The festival will mainly focus on new storytelling trends, as well as emerging talents from Saudi Arabia, the Arab world and the rest of the Global South.[3] The festival looks forwards establishing a solid foundation for the film industry in Saudi Arabia that may contribute to diversifying the income of the country.[4] The first edition of the festival will be held in the old town of Jeddah from March 12–21, 2020.[5]

Organization
The festival will be organized and operated by the Red Sea Film Foundation, a non-profit cultural organization registered in Saudi Arabia.[3][1] The Foundation is chaired by Prince Badr Al Saud, Saudi Arabia's minister of culture, where the Saudi director and producer Mahmoud Sabbagh is the President of the foundation[3][6]
