Rebel Foods

Rebel Foods is an Indian online restaurant company which operates 11 cloud kitchen brands including Faasos, Behrouz Biryani, Oven Story and Mandarin Oak. It is the largest cloud kitchen restaurant chain in India,[7] with more than 300 cloud kitchens, as of February 2020.[8] The company was founded in 2011 as a physical restaurant chain with online ordering facility; it became a cloud kitchen-only business in 2015.[9]

Among the company's investors are Sequoia Capital, Coatue Management, Goldman Sachs, Gojek and Travis Kalanick.[10][11][12] According to a report in Bloomberg, the company was valued at US$535 million in 2019.[10] After Series E round of funding in 2020, the company's valuation was reported to have increased to US$820 million.[13]

In December 2020, Rebel Foods entered a partnership with American fast food restaurant chain Wendy's, under which it will start and operate 250 cloud kitchens for the latter in India.[14][15]
