Rasika Dugal

Rasika Dugal is an Indian actress who is known for her roles in several Bollywood movies. Apart from this, she has starred in Indian-German drama film, Qissa and several Indian soap operas.[1][2]

Biography

Rasika Dugal was born in Circuit House Area, Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. She attained Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics in the year 2004 from Lady Shri Ram College for Women, Delhi. Subsequently, Dugal attended Sophia Polytechnic for a postgraduate diploma in "Social Communications Media" and FTII for attaining postgraduate diploma in "acting".[3] In 2010, Rasika Dugal married Indian actor Mukul Chadda.[4]

Career

Rasika Dugal started appearing in Bollywood movies in 2007. She appeared in Anwar in a character role. She made her debut in Bollywood in the movie Tahaan in 2008. She did a cameo in famous web series TVF Permanent Roommates Season 2 Episode 4 "The Dinner". She has also appeared as a lead actress in another of TVF's web series Humorously Yours (2017).[3]

She also appeared in YRF TV serial Kismat as Lubna opposite to Rahul Bagga.[5][6]

She did a cameo in the film Tu Hai Mera Sunday released in 2017, now available on Netflix which starred actors Barun Sobti, Vishal Malhotra, Shahana Goswami, Nakul Bhalla, Avinash Tiwary, Jay Upadhyay.

She won the Best Actor Award for her role in the film Hamid at Rajasthan International Film Festival.[7]

She stars in Mirzapur, a web television series on Amazon Prime Video as Beena Tripathi, Kaleen Bhaiya's second wife, and Munna's stepmother.[8]

She essays the role of Nutan Yadav, an ambitious politician's daughter willing to sacrifice his daughter's dreams for his political career, in Zoya Akhtar's web series Made in Heaven, released on Amazon Prime on March 8, 2019.

She played the role of Dr. Meera in out of love and preparing for the second season.

She portrays the role of young IPS officer named as Neeti Singh in Delhi Crime (TV series) released on Netflix on March 21, 2019. Her latest film Lootcase released on 31 July 2020.[8]
