Rasheed Amjad

Rasheed Amjad (Urdu: ڈاکٹر رشید امجد) is an Urdu fiction writer, critic and scholar. He was born on 5 March 1940 in Srinagar, Indian state of Kashmir but migrated to Pakistan after independence and now lives in Rawalpindi, Pakistan.

He has received awards from Pakistan and India. He is also an editor of literary Urdu research magazines Daryaft and Takhilqui adab. His autobiography Aashiqi sabr talab was published in 2015.
