Promodra nigrata
Promodra nigrata is a species of moth in the family Tortricidae. The species was described by Razowski in 2008. It is found in South Africa.[1]

The wingspan is about 14 mm. The forewings are brownish cream with the suffusions, strigulae and dots brownish. The basal blotch is grey brown with darker marks mainly at the costa posteriorly. The median fascia is blackish brown in the costal half of the wing, but otherwise paler, with brown spots followed by a greyer postmedian area. The subterminal fascia is reduced to an oval blotch accompanied by brown costal spots. The hindwings are pale greyish brown.
Etymology
The species name refers to maculation of forewing and is derived from Latin nigrata (meaning mixed black).[2]
