Pooja Gehlot
Pooja Gehlot, is an Indian freestyle wrestler who won a Silver medal at the 2019 U23 World Wrestling Championships in the 53 kg category.[1][2] Gehlot participated in this championship after a two year break because of a shoulder injury.[3][4]

Early life
Pooja Gehlot was a volleyball player. However, because of her height, she was directed to go for other options. Her uncle was a wrestler who encouraged her. She opted for wrestling in 2010 since she was also inspired by the success of the women’s team at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi. She participated and won gold at the 2015 Junior Nationals at Ranchi. In 2017, she was at top at Junior Asian Championships in Taiwan.[3][5]
