Plumbeous pigeon
The plumbeous pigeon (Patagioenas plumbea) is a species of bird in the family Columbidae. It is found in Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guyana, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, and Venezuela in secondary growth forests, edge forests, and low hills. It can often be confused with the Ruddy Pigeon.[2]

Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest and subtropical or tropical moist montane forest.
It generally feeds on canopy fruits/seeds but specifically targets mistletoe during certain times of the year.[3]

- P. p. chapmani (Ridgway, 1916) – W slope of Andes from Colombia and Ecuador S to El Oro.
- P. p. bogotensis Berlepsch & Leverkühn, 1890 – E slope of Andes from Venezuela and Colombia to SC Bolivia (Cochabamba).
- P. p. wallacei (C. Chubb, 1917) – extreme E Venezuela, the Guianas and E Amazonian Brazil (W to R Negro and R Tapajós).
- P. p. pallescens (E. Snethlage, 1908) – S tributaries of Amazon from R Purús to Pará.
- P. p. baeri (Hellmayr, 1908) – NC Brazil (Goiás, NW Minas Gerais).
- P. p. plumbea (Vieillot, 1818) – E Paraguay and SE Brazil.
