Plant Based News is a UK-based digital media outlet publishing content about veganism and plant-based living, including news and current events, health, personal transformation stories, features, and recipes.

It is known for its annual flagship documentary series (Vegan 2014, Vegan 2015 etc.) which can garner in excess of 2,000,000 views. [1]

History and profile

Plant Based News was founded as a YouTube channel by Klaus Mitchell in 2014. It transitioned to a multimedia platform in 2016, when Robbie Lockie joined the organization as co-founder. The website was launched in early 2017.

Plant Based News is the only vegan media outlet to have a notable YouTube presence as well as a large following across social media platforms like Instagram and Facebook, a significant readership and podcast. It reaches around 70 million people every month via its platforms.
