Pierre Novellie

Pierre Novellie is a South African born comedian, who grew up on the Isle of Man, where he went to King William's College. Pierre was then a member and eventually Vice President of the Cambridge Footlights Revue whilst at University.[1]

He is known for his work as a comedian and actor, most recently for his work on the BBC's The Mash Report [2][3] He was also a guest on BBC Radio 4’s The Rest is History hosted by Frank Skinner.[4] Other highlights include appearing on the Joke Thieves pilot for BBC Two opposite Marcus Brigstocke, BBC Three’s Edinburgh Comedy Fest Live [5] and 4OD’s comedy series Taxi Gags.[6] Pierre’s writing credits include ITV’s Newszoids, Adam Buxton’s Shed of Christmas.[7]

Podcast

Pierre also hosted a regular podcast called My Favourite Podcast.[8][9] His latest podcast credits include co-hosting BudPod alongside British Comedian Phil Wang.[10] He has launched several other projects from this podcast such as the luxury Sugar Eagle delivery service and the musical group Some Lads on a Night Out.

Awards

Pierre has been nominated for several Chortle Awards and won the Amused Moose Laugh Off in 2013 at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.[11] In 2014 he was nominated for industry web-site Chortle’s Best Newcomer award.[12] Pierre was nominated for Best Club Comic at the 2016 Chortle Awards and appeared in the Channel 4’s Comedy Blap Outsiders later that year.[13]
