Peter Gadiot
Peter Gadiot (/ˈɡædioʊ/;[1] born 2 January 1986, West Sussex) is a British actor. In 2013, he was cast to star in Once Upon a Time in Wonderland as Cyrus.[2]

Career
Peter Gadiot trained classically at Drama Centre London and has appeared in numerous stage productions. His past credits include the 2013 film The Forbidden Girl, MTV's Hot Mess and the British series My Spy Family.
Gadiot made his American network debut as Cyrus, the handsome and mysterious Genie, in ABC's Once Upon a Time in Wonderland.
That year, Gadiot starred opposite Léa Seydoux in a short film directed by Wes Anderson and Roman Coppola, Prada: Candy. He also appeared in three episodes of the British series Fresh Meat, a Channel 4 dramedy with a large cult following.
He went behind the camera to write and direct the short film 12–17, released in 2014.
In 2016 he played the lead role of Petruchio in William Shakespeare's 'The Taming of the Shrew' at the Harman Center for the Arts in Washington DC.
In 2017 he won the Imagen award for 'Best supporting actor in a television series' for his portrayal of James in Fox 21 Studio's and USA Networks "Queen of the South".
Personal life
Raised primarily in the UK, he is Dutch on his father's side and Mexican on his mother's side. Gadiot speaks English and Spanish. He has one older brother.[3]

Philanthropy
Gadiot also actively campaigns against slavery and human trafficking, and once rowed across the Atlantic to support the cause. He rowed across the Atlantic Ocean from the Caribbean to Africa with a crew in about 39 days. Afterwards, he ran a "self-sufficient 250-kilometer ultra-marathon in the Sahara Desert." He finally completed his journey by climbing Mount Kilimanjaro. Gadiot gave talks to thousands of school children educating them about the issues. With Rowing Against Slavery, Gadiot was able to raise money for Anti-Slavery International and Save the Children.[5]
