Payel Chowdhury
Payel Chowdhury (Born December 1st, 1992) is an Indian professional women's Kabaddi player and the current part of India national kabaddi team. She was part of the national teams which won the gold medal at the South Asian Games 2019 and the silver medal at the 2018 Asian Games.[1] Payal's father Mr. Kamal Chaudhary was a national footballer and his uncle Mr. Krishna Golap Chaudhary was an international footballer. Krishna Golap Chaudhary has represented the Indian football team.

She made her International debut in the South Asian Beach Games in Phuket, Thailand 2014, in which India won the Gold medal. She was captain of Indian women's kabaddi team in Asian Games at Indonesia in 2018, in which India won the Silver medal. In 2019, she represented India in the 13th South Asian Games that took place in Kathmandu Nepal and won the Gold medal.

Personal life
Payal's father Mr. Kamal Chaudhary was a national footballer and his uncle Mr. Krishna Golap Chaudhary was an international footballer. Krishna Golap Chaudhary has represented the Indian football team. Payal is known to be marrying para swimmer Prasanta Karmakar on 2015.[2]
