Paul Schiller

Paul Schiller (born 13 March 1928 in Vienna, Austria) was an Austrian international football referee.[1] He was member of ÖFB Legendenklub.[2]

Career

He officiated 20 international matches and was member of FIFA in 1963–78. He attributed eight EURO qualifying matches 1968 (2), 1972 (2), 1976 (4), six World Cup qualifuying matches 1966 (2), 1970 (2), 1974 (2)[3] and others were in friendly matches. He also refereed two matches in 1976 Olympic Games.

In club football he officiated some UEFA competition matches such as Champions League (13), UEFA Cup (19) and Cup Winners Cup (9).[4] He refereed 1976 UEFA Super Cup 2nd leg played between Anderlecht-Bayern Munich (4:1). Schiller attributed 31 Austrian Football Bundesliga matches in 1974-77 and two Austrian Cup matches in 1964-72.

Personal life

After referee career he was Chairman of the Arbitration Committee of Austrian Football Assosiation.[5] and left the Committee in 2002.[6]
