Parry Sound High School
Parry Sound High School (PSHS) is a public high school in the town of Parry Sound, Ontario, Canada. The school is one of the largest in the Near North District School Board, with 842 students as of October 2011,[1] and serves as the only high school in Parry Sound.

Parry Sound High School's motto is the Latin Omnia Vestigia Prorsum which translates to "All Steps Forward". Athletes and students at PSHS are known as the PSHS Panthers, and the school colours are cardinal and slate.
The school was founded in 1951.
Programs and Learning
Parry Sound High School offers a large variety of programs for students, these include numerous applied and tech courses such as, Woodshop, Autoshop, Design Tech, Marine Mechanics, and Cooking. Also the school has many academic programs available and serves students all levels of education ranging from Special Education to Locally Developed programs to Applied/College Level programs to University prep programs.
The school also opened a room called the "Hub" in the 2010/2011 school year which is a place students may go during focus or on spare with teacher permission to study and get help with their classes from teachers in the hub.
Focus Period
Parry Sound High School has two half hour focus periods Focus A and Focus B. One is in the morning and extends period 2 classes by a half hour. The second is in the afternoon, Focus B, and extends Period 3 classes by half hour. Morning and afternoon classes rotate to allow a focus period in each class every second day.

Parry Sound High School also received funding to replace its track facility in 2008 giving it a new track and field facility. The school also has three gyms that can be used to host and practice sports. In 2010 a new weight-room was opened in the school, which is used as a place for students and staff to work out and encourage fitness. The school offers a "weight-room training certificate" to students and staff which allows them to use the weight-room independently.
