Paderu

Paderu is a village and a Mandal in Visakhapatnam district in the state of Andhra Pradesh in India.[2]

Paderu is the most important town in the Manyam area of Visakhapatnam district. Paderu is the center of the Visakha agency. The Integrated Tribal Development Authority (I.T.D.A) is located in Paderu. Coffee plantations in Minimuluru circle are very famous.

The Integrated Tribal Development Authority (ITDA) takes care of all welfare programmes in the Paderu agency area. A project officer is appointed by the Government to take care of the activities of the ITDA. There is also a sub-collector appointed in this area. There is also an additional superintendent of police appointed in this area.

Geography

Paderu is located at 18.0833°N 82.667°E / 18.0833; 82.667.[3] It has an average elevation of 904 meters (2,969 feet).

Paderu is an assembly constituency in Andhra Pradesh. It is reserved for Scheduled Tribes. Of the MLA:s elected from this constituency, three of them have served as ministers for the Andhra Pradesh Government.

One of the Famous Festivals in Andhra Pradesh

Modhakondamma thalli jathara celebrations {People in this area believes her(Modhakondamma thalli) as a powerful Goddesses} is conducted every year in paderu. The Govt. of AP declared this festival as a heritage of Andhra Pradesh and granted 50,00,000 (lakhs) for the festival celebrations in 2015().

Many devotees from all over India mainly from Andhra Pradesh and near Odisha states come to this festival every year.
