Pettigrew's career shifted to the United States in 2014, when he was selected as the new host of the nationally syndicated television show 'Right This Minute'.
Education
Pettigrew was educated at Cranleigh School an English boarding school in Surrey after which he graduated in 2004 with a degree in corporate communication from Southampton Institute.[3]
Career
Pettigrew began his career as a model in Hong Kong in 1999 with a number of smaller jobs which led to a campaign for Levi's and a role in 'Gen Y Cops'.
A move to Singapore in 2004 quickly shifted his focus from model to TV-host. An anchor role hosting for the 2006 World Cup led to Pettigrew being selected as host of 'Technomax' for Animax and AXN, but it was Pettigrew's selection as host of prime-time show 'Sony Style' for AXN in 2007 (a role that earned him a nomination for 'Best Host' at the Singapore Elle Awards 2008) that cemented his position as a rising talent.
Over the coming years Pettigrew hosted numerous shows for Lonely Planet, Channel News Asia, Channel V, Star World, HBO Asia, Cinemax Asia, Food Network Asia, TLC and AXN which led to his nomination for 'Best Entertainment Host' at the 'Asian Television Awards' in 2011 for his work on 'Sony Style'.
2012 was a busy year for Pettigrew – working six projects for five networks concurrently:
- 'Cash Cab Asia[4]' on AXN
- 'Sony Lifestyle[5]' (formerly Sony Style) on AXN
- 'Lonely Planet Six Degrees: China[6]' on TLC and BBC Worldwide
- 'Epad on Max' on Cinemax Asia
- As the daily host for HBO Asia
- A series of international food vignettes for Food Network Asia
That year Pettigrew received a nomination for 'Best Host' at the Singapore Elle Awards and also three nominations (including two for best host) at the Asian Television Awards where he won 'Best Entertainment Host' for 'Cash Cab Asia'.[7]
Pettigrew added 'Kids Vs Film' [8] for Discovery Kids towards the end of 2012, hosting 2 seasons – resulting in his winning 'Best Program Host' at the Asia Rainbow TV Awards 2014.
In August 2014 Pettigrew was selected as the new host for 'RightThisMinute' – a daily, nationally-syndicated Viral Video show.[9][10][11]
