Nira Narsingpur
Nira Narsingpur is a village in Indapur taluka of Pune district, Maharashtra, India.[1] The confluence of rivers Bhima and Nira is behind the Shri Laxmi Narsimha Temple. The temple is situaled on Pune side of the Pune-Solapur district border also on the common point of three Talukas Madha, Malashiras (both from Solapur district) and Indapur (Pune district). The temple is the Kuldaiwat (Family deity) for a number of Marathi families of different castes.

This hemandpanti beautiful temple is located off Tembhurni - Akluj road in Indapur taluka of Pune.
Tembhurni is a place on the Pune-Solapur highway. After getting down here, either board a private vehicle going towards Akluj or catch an MSRTC bus.
Get down at a spot called Sangam.
From Sangam, either board a share auto which would take you to temple or else walking the distance would be also an enjoyable moment in itself!
In the event, if you are having your own vehicle then beware as the bridge on the Neera river is in very bad condition. Google Map Direction [2]
Going by Train : Take the Pune-Solapur Passenger which leaves Pune Station at 08.30 A.M. [Fare-Rs. 24] Get down at Jeur Station
Take a MSRTC bus for Tembhurni from Jeur [Fare-Rs. 15] or take shared autorikshaw from Jeur [Fare-Rs. 25 as on Mid June 2011].
Take a private jeep from Tembhurni which will drop you to a point, 3 km away from the main temple.
Take a shared autorickshaw to the entrance of the main temple [Fare-Rs.5 per person]
The Shri Laxmi Narsimha Navratra happens to be in Vaishakh month [May].
Other nearby places to visit here could be Shani Shirala [around 3 km from Tembhurni off Pune-Solapur road, it is a replica of Shani Shingnapur]
