History
CD Publications began producing housing-related newsletters in 1961, starting with Housing Affairs Letter. The company branched out into senior affairs with Aging News Alert in 1984, and into grant-seeking with Federal Assistance Monitor in 1986.
In Fall 2006, the company acquired Native American Report and Native American Law Report from Eli Research and combined them into Native American Report.
Current Coverage
NAR publishes news articles on tribal issues related to health access, health promotion and disease management. It also provides updates on, among other things, education improvement and employment/job training programs. Other topics include the Bureau of Indian Affairs, taxation, regulations, Native American law, sovereignty and gaming disputes.
Expansion
In 2007, NAR, along with CD Publications' other funding news services, was moved onto the web portal GrantsandFunding.net. However, unlike most of the other publications, NAR's electronic version is a PDF-format, downloadable newsletter.
