History
The formation of the band is contentious and there have been many theories some forwarded by the band itself. The official current stance of the band is that: After various attempts to explain how Murfy’s fLaW came to be, the band has grudgingly accepted that the story is too BORING to share with others, unless as a particularly cruel and unusual method of torture. So, for now, the band is going with the theory that, the creation of Murfy’s fLaW was one of those truly cosmic events that has to be accepted on faith alone.[8]
The band frequently performs every first Friday at an Ethiopian restaurant called Dass.[9] They also have been known to have various random shows in Nairobi city.[10][11][12]
Makosa
Murfy's fLaw released their album, Makosa on 21 October 2008. The band explored various media to produce their music videos such as 2D animation for "Your Friend".[13]

Murfy’s fLaW received three nominations for the inaugural Heavy and the Beast Awards[15] in 2019, and won one. Singer, Reema Doshi, was nominated for Best Female Artist, and their song, “Abso-bloomin-lutely” was nominated for Best Music Video. The band won an award in the Best Live Performance category.
