Motorola Razr (5G)

The second generation Motorola Razr (stylized Motorola razr), unofficially referred to as the Motorola Razr 5G, is an Android foldable smartphone produced by Motorola Mobility as a successor to the first generation Razr.[1][2] Unveiled on September 9, 2020, it went on sale on September 15. It maintains the same form factor reminiscent of the original Motorola Razr feature phone series. Although externally similar to its predecessor, it features upgraded hardware and 5G connectivity.[3][4]

Specifications

The Razr 5G retains several key design elements, using a clamshell design to conceal a 6.2-inch 21:9 aspect ratio OLED display. Likewise, the exterior features a secondary 2.7-inch "Quick View" display to access selected features (such as notifications) when the device is closed. The external display is covered by a Gorilla Glass 5 panel, while the frame uses 7000 series anodized aluminum. The screen is protected by a stainless-steel frame and is "scuff resistant". The fingerprint sensor has been relocated from the lower bezel to the back panel, and is set within the logo. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G system-on-chip and Adreno 620 GPU, with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of non-expandable internal storage. It uses two batteries which have a total capacity of 2800 mAh, and has 15W TurboPower fast charging over USB-C. A single camera is present on the rear with a 48 MP lens, while the front-facing camera has a 20 MP lens and is housed within a notch at the top of the display. The available colors are Polished Graphite, Liquid Mercury and Blush Gold.

Unlike its predecessor which was exclusive to Verizon, the Razr 5G will be sold through AT&T and T-Mobile instead. It will ship with Android 10 at launch, and has software improvements which expand functionality for the external display.
