History
Mixpanel was founded by Suhail Doshi and Tim Trefren in 2009 in San Francisco, California.[5][6]

Following their Series B round in 2014, the company opened offices in New York and Seattle to better service a growing client-base in North America and EMEA.[9] By 2017 they also had established offices in London, Barcelona, Paris, Austin, and Singapore.
In April 2018, founder and CEO Suhail Doshi announced he would step down to become chairman of the board, and Amir Movafaghi, then CEO and a former CFO at Twitter, was promoted to CEO.[10]
Continuing their expansion, in 2019 Mixpanel announced an ambitious 10-year, €100M European expansion plan which included a data residency program–the first of its kind in the product analytics space.[11]
