Mercedes Mason

Mercedes Mason (/meɪsɒn/; formerly Masöhn; born 1982/1983) is a Swedish-American actress and former model known for playing the role of Zondra in the American television series Chuck and the role of Isabel Zambada[3][4] in the American procedural drama The Finder.[5] She starred in the 2011 American horror film Quarantine 2: Terminal. She played Louise Leonard in the 2012–13 American supernatural drama 666 Park Avenue and Talia Del Campo in NCIS: Los Angeles. She was a regular on AMC's television series Fear the Walking Dead from 2015 to 2017.

Early life

Mason was born in Linköping, Sweden,[6] and grew up in the neighborhood of Ryd, Linköping. Her family originated in Iran, and she has one sister.[7] She moved to the United States with her family at the age of 12.[1] She was raised around the Chicago area.

Career

Mason was one of two lead actresses in The Finder during its lone season in 2012. She played Deputy U.S. Marshal Isabel Zambada, the romantic interest of title character Walter Sherman (Geoff Stults). Both she and Maddie Hasson filled the void left by the departure of Saffron Burrows,[8] the female lead in the series' backdoor pilot which was the 19th episode of Season 6 of Bones.[9]

In 2012 she co-starred on the ABC supernatural drama series 666 Park Avenue, which was canceled midway through its season.[10][11]

In August 2015, Mason debuted in her role as Ofelia Salazar, on the Walking Dead companion series Fear the Walking Dead.[12]

In spring 2014, she debuted her role of DEA Special Agent Talia Del Campo on the CBS series NCIS: Los Angeles, which has since become a recurring role.

In 2018, she debuted in her role as Captain Zoe Andersen on the ABC series The Rookie.

Personal life

Mason currently lives in Los Angeles, California with her husband David Denman, whom she married in September 2014.[13][14][15][16] The couple welcomed their first child on 10 January 2018, a son named Caius Kane.[17]

Mason is a naturalized U.S. citizen, having taken the citizenship test in April 2016.[6]

In addition to English, Mason speaks French, Spanish, and Persian;[18] however, on the Swedish talk show Skavlan on 30 September 2016, she declared that she no longer speaks Swedish, but she does still understand it.[19]
