Medtrade

Medtrade is an international trade show and conference for the home healthcare industry[1] which provides professionals in the medical supply field with advocacy, government affairs, and continuing education.[2] Medtrade produces two events annually in the United States of America, but the specific event dates vary each year. Medtrade Spring takes place during the spring season on the west coast of the US[3] and Medtrade takes place during the fall season.

Medtrade serves buyers and sellers of the home health care marketplace. The exposition (exhibit hall) product categories include mobility, respiratory, sleep, rehab products and aids to daily living. Other events within Medtrade include fundraising receptions from organizations such as American Association for Homecare and MK Battery for patient advocacy.[4] Medtrade exhibit hall size is averaged at 145,000 square feet with over 500 exhibitors and over 7000 attendees[5]

Company history

Originally launched as the National Home Health Care Exposition, Medtrade and Medtrade Spring are produced by Emerald Expositions , formerly Nielsen Expositions,[6] a part of the Nielsen Company. Onex Corporation completed the acquisition of Nielsen Expositions on June 17, 2013. Upon acquisition, the company name was changed to Emerald Expositions. Emerald Expositions is an owner and operator of business-to-business tradeshows in the United States connecting buyers and sellers across nine diversified end markets.[7]
