Marina de Tavira
Marina de Tavira Servitje (born November 30, 1974) is a Mexican actress. She is internationally known for her role in the film Roma (2018), which received widespread acclaim and earned her an Academy Award nomination.[1]

Life and career
Marina de Tavira was born in Mexico City, the granddaughter of Lorenzo Servitje, founder of Grupo Bimbo. Her career has mainly developed on the Mexican stage. She has played the lead parts in stagings of playwrights such as Bertolt Brecht, Harold Pinter, David Mamet, and Ximena Escalante. In film, she has worked with directors such as Rodrigo Plá (in the film The Zone, winner of the Lion of the Future Award in Venice 2007), Carlos Carrera, Issa López, Mariana Chenillo, Hari Sama, and Alfonso Cuarón in his film Roma, for which she was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. Her TV work includes the series Ingobernable for Netflix and Falco for Amazon, directed by Ernesto Contreras. Her work has been nominated and awarded by various theatre critics and journalist associations in Mexico.
She is the niece of theater director Luis de Tavira and his wife Rosa María Bianchi. Pedro de Tavira Egurrola and José María de Tavira are her cousins.[2]
