Manzoor Nadir
Manzoor Nadir (14 November 1955)[3] is a Guyanese politician, former Minister of Labour, and as of 2020 the Speaker of the National Assembly.[1]

Biography
Mazoon Nadir was born in Albouystown, Georgetown[4] on 14 November 1955.[3] He holds a Master’s Degree in Economics of the University of Manchester, and a Bachelor of Commerce of the University of Alberta. Nadir is an economist by profession.[5]
Nadir was first elected to the National Assembly in 1992.[3] Nadir served as the Minister of Labour from 2001[5] until 2011.[6] Nadir became the party leader of The United Force in 2001[3] and served until 2011.[7] On 1 September 2020, Nadir was elected Speaker of the National Assembly[1] without contest.[5] Lenox Shuman was elected as Deputy Speaker.[5]
