Mahant Raja Ghasi Das

Raja Ghasi Das was the Ruler of the former Princely State of Nandgaon State in the Present-Day Rajnandgaon District of Chhattisgarh Pradesh, India. He was a Bairagi Ruler.[1][2] He was an Able , Energetic and Enlightened Ruler.

In 1865, the British Recognized the then Ruler Mahant Ghasi Das as the Ruler of Nandgaon. He was Conferred the Title Feudral Chief of Rajnandgaon and also was given Sanad, a Right to Adoption at Later Point of Time.[3]

Mahant Ghasidas Museum

Mahant Ghasidas Museum is an Archaeological Museum and among the 10 Oldest in India. The Museum was Built in 1875 by Raja Mahant Ghasidas. The two-storeyed structure was later Renovated By Queen Jyoti Devi and Her Son Digvijai Das in the Year 1953. The New Building of the Museum was Inaugurated by the First President of India, Dr. Rajendra Prasad.[4]
