MTV World Stage Live in Malaysia

On August 15, 2009, MTV Asia staged the first ever outdoor MTV World Stage Live In Malaysia at Sunway Lagoon Resort in Kuala Lumpur. The event was attended by over 15, 000 fans.[2] The event also featured a live, real-time microblogging application where comments and 'tweets' via SMS were displayed on giant screens at the concert venue.[3]

Malaysian songbird Misha Omar made a special appearance with Boys Like Girls for a duet, Two Is Better Than One. Korean boyband 2AM also made a special guest appearance at the post party of the event.[3]

TV Premiere

The six-hour-long live concert was edited into a two-hour special that premiered on MTV Asia on August 28, 2009.[11]
