Luv Ranjan
Luv Ranjan is an Indian film director, writer and producer. He was born in Ghaziabad district, Uttar Pradesh.[1] He has directed films such as Pyaar Ka Punchnama, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 and Akaash Vani.[2] He is an alumnus of St. Paul's Academy, Ghaziabad.

Early life
After finishing his schooling from St. Paul's Academy, Ghaziabad, he studied at the prestigious Hindu College, Delhi University.
Directing
He began his career as a director in 2011 with the film, Pyaar Ka Punchnama produced by Abhishek Pathak, Panorama Studios & Viacom18 Motion Pictures which starred newcomers Kartik Aaryan, Nushrat Bharucha, Ishita Raj Sharma, Sonnalli Seygall, Divyendu Sharma and Raayo S. Bakhirta. The film is a romantic comedy which depicts the life of three young bachelors.[3] In 2013, he wrote and directed Akaash Vani, reuniting him with Aaryan and Bharucha. Two years later, in 2015, he co-wrote and directed the sequel of Pyaar Ka Punchnama, Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 starring Aaryan, Bharucha, Sunny Singh, Ishita Raj Sharma, Omkar Kapoor and Sonnalli Seygall. The sequel too received much appreciation and performed well at the box office.[4][5] He directed the blockbuster Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety in 2018. The film performed exceedingly well at the box office and gained commercial acclaim.[6]
His next directorial venture is starring Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor.
Producing
He turned to production in 2012 with his childhood friend and co-producer, Ankur Garg and founded their company Luv Films. In 2016, he produced Life Sahi Hai, an Indian coming of age comedy web-series created by Tarun Jain. He directed and co-produced comedy film Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety along with Ankur Garg and in collaboration with T-Series starring Kartik Aaryan, Nushrat Bharucha and Sunny Singh.[7] It emerged as a commercial success and ranks as one of the highest grossing Bollywood films of 2018. His 2019 film is Ajay Devgn, Tabu and Rakul Preet Singh starrer urban romcom film De De Pyaar De.[8][9]
2020 Films
His first release of 2020 was Jai Mummy Di starring Sunny Singh and Sonnalli Seygall which was directed by Navjot Gulati which released on 17 January 2020. His second release for the year was Malang starring Anil Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapur, Disha Patani and Kunal Khemu directed by Mohit Suri which released on 7 February 2020. His third film was Hansal Mehta’s social comedy Chhalaang starring Rajkumar Rao and Nushrat Bharucha which released on 13 November 2020.
