Luci Collins

Luci Collins Cummings is a former gymnast and one of the first black Olympians in the sport of gymnastics for the United States.[1][2] She was part of the 1980 US Olympic Team,[3] and although she did not get to compete due to the USA boycotting the 1980 games, she is credited with being the first black US Olympics female. Despite many people saying that she was not dark enough to be African-American. Her parents were both Creole.[1]

Collins was raised in Los Angeles.[2] She currently works for a water department.[1]
