Traction
Both trains are hauled by a Kalyan Loco Shed based WDP-4D or WDP 4D diesel locomotive from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus to Guntakal and from Guntakal it is hauled by an Erode Loco Shed based WDP-4 or WAP-7 electric locomotive up til Chennai.
