The song's sound is similar to Chuck Berry's. Robin Gibb sang backup vocals on this song. The guitars, bass, drums and organ, producer and engineer was not credited. It was recorded in Festival Studio, Sydney.[2] The B-side "Here I Am" was also written by Barry Gibb.
A rewritten version of this song was recorded by Steve Kipner's band Steve and the Board in 1966.
