Babar made his ODI debut against Zimbabwe in May 2015,[1] and scored his first century the following year when he made 120 against West Indies at Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Sharjah. In the same series, Babar became the third Pakistani to make three consecutive centuries in a single series. Babar's highest score of 125* came against the same team during the tour of West Indies in 2016; Pakistan successfully set a target of 287 and Babar was adjudged man of the match. In ODIs, 9 of his 12 centuries have come in the first innings and Pakistan have lost only two ODIs when he has made a century as he became the fastest Pakistani to cross 1,000-plus ODI runs in a calendar year which he achieved in 19 innings.
