Lamorna Ash
Lamorna Ash is a British writer. She is a regular contributor to the Times Literary Supplement and author of Dark, Salt, Clear: Life in a Cornish Fishing Town.[1][2]

Ash attended St Paul's Girls' School and read English at Oxford University before receiving an MA in Social and Cultural Anthropology from University College London.[3] After university, Ash went to Newlyn in Cornwall to learn about their fishing community.[4]
Her first book, Dark, Salt, Clear is due to be published by Bloomsbury in April 2020.[5][6][7] Ash's book was a BBC Radio 4 'Book of the Week'.[8][9][10] William Dalrymple wrote that her book: 'marks the birth of a new star of non-fiction.'[11]
