Lady Rachel Pepys
Lady Rachel Pepys, DCVO (27 June 1905 – 17 August 1992) was a Lady-in-Waiting to Princess Marina, Duchess of Kent, from 1943 to 1968.[1]

Born Mary Rachel Fitzalan-Howard, she was the eldest child of the 15th Duke of Norfolk and his wife, Gwendolen, Duchess of Norfolk.
On 31 July 1939, she married; Lt. Col. Colin Keppel Davidson, Clerk of the House of Lords and sometime Equerry to HRH The Duke of Windsor (December 1936-September 1939) a grandson of Lt. Col. the Rt. Hon. William Keppel, 7th Earl of Albemarle, KCMG, MP, PC, ADC, Treasurer of Queen Victoria's Houdsehold; and they had two children: Duncan Henry Davidson (b. 1941) and Harriet Mary Davidson (b. 1942), who married Michael Sefi, the current Keeper of the Royal Philatelic Collection.
Lady Rachel's first husband, Lt. Col. Colin Keppel Davidson, CIE, OBE, OStJ, ADC, RHA was killed " March 1943, in Tunisia during the Second World War. On 9 November 1961, she married Brigadier Anthony Hilton Pepys, who died six years later. She retired from HRH Princess Marina, the Duchess of Kent's Royal Household a year later, and died in 1992, aged 87.
