Kit Hood
Christopher Hood (1943 – 20 January 2020) was a Canadian television editor, director, writer and producer. He was born in England and emigrated to Canada in his twenties.
Career
Kit Hood was the co-creator of the Degrassi series of television shows.
Hood was a film editor with Walt Disney Productions in London, England, before emigrating to Canada in 1969. In the early 1970s, he was active editing television commercials.[1]
Kit Hood and Linda Schuyler created a production company called "Playing With Time" to make educational films and documentaries[2] in 1976. They went on to create the popular Kids of Degrassi Street, Degrassi Junior High, Degrassi High, and the film School's Out. He died at his home in West Lawrencetown, Nova Scotia on 20 January 2020.[3][4]
