Kauni village is located in Gidderbaha of Muktsar district in Punjab, India. It is situated 28 km away from sub-district headquarter Gidderbaha and 15 km away from district headquarter Muktsar. Bhatinda City is 40 km away and Faridkot City is 36 km. As per 2009 stats Kauni village is also a gram panchayat.
There are some influential families from this village who have studied at The Doon School (Dehradun).
Former Chief Minister of Punjab Prakash Singh Badal started his political career in 1957 from Gidderbaha Constituency with the help of some personalities who are from this village.
