Kalifa Dienta

Kalifa Dienta (Arabic: كاليفا دينتا born 1 January 1940), is a Malian filmmaker.[1] He is best known as the director of critically acclaimed feature film A Banna.[2] Apart from direction, she is also a writer and cinematographer.

She was born on 1 January 1940 in Macina, Mali. She studied cinema in Moscow.[3]

Career

In 1980, she directed the film A Banna which received mostly positive reviews from critics and selected in several international film festivals.
